This policy explains what information Amberborn ("the game") collects, why, and what choices you have. The game is published by TechBene ("we").
| Information | Why we collect it | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous account ID (a random identifier created on first launch) | To keep your saved game tied to you | Supabase (our backend host) |
| Only if you link an account: the Google or Apple account identifier, the email address it shares (with Apple you can choose a private relay address), when you linked it, and from Google also your name and profile picture address (our sign-in service stores these automatically; the game does not use them) | To let you sign in on a new device or after reinstalling and get your saved game back | Supabase; Google or Apple (sign-in) |
| Game progress: heroes, levels, stats, items and their history, gold, quests, settings | To back up your saved game and sync it, so progress survives between sessions | Supabase |
| Run records: which dungeon you played, how long it took, what dropped and the result | To check that finished runs are valid before they are added to your backed-up progress, and to find bugs and cheating | Supabase |
| Purchase records (product, transaction ID, store) | To deliver and restore what you bought | Apple App Store or Google Play, and Supabase |
| Gameplay events (for example a dungeon started or finished, a level reached, a rewarded ad watched, a purchase made), an app-instance identifier, device and app information, and the country derived from your IP address | To understand how the game is played and where players stop, so we can improve it | Google Analytics for Firebase |
| IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, and on Android the advertising ID | To show rewarded ads, limit how often they repeat, measure them and prevent fraud | Google AdMob |
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data. Payments are handled entirely by the App Store or Google Play; we never see your card details.
In Settings you can link your guest account to your Google account (Android) or Apple ID (iOS). Google or Apple asks for your permission and then gives us a sign-in token with your account identifier and email address (Google also includes your name and profile picture address); we never see your password. We use this only to recognise you when you sign in on another device and to restore your saved game. We do not use your email address for marketing and do not share it. You can unlink by deleting your data (see below); you can also remove the game's access in your Google account or Apple ID settings.
Ads appear only when you choose to watch one for a reward. They are served by Google AdMob. On Android, depending on your region and your choices, Google may use your advertising ID to show personalized ads. For details see how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
The game uses Google Analytics for Firebase to count installs and sessions and to record a small number of gameplay events. These are tied to a random app-instance identifier, not to your name, and are not used to track you across other companies' apps or to personalize ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics is switched on only if you agree to the storage of information on your device in the consent dialog; you can change that at any time under Settings → Privacy options. Delete my data does not reach analytics data already sent to Google, because it is tied to the app-instance identifier rather than to your account; Google deletes it after 14 months, and you can ask us to request its deletion sooner.
Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play. We receive the product and a transaction ID so we can deliver what you bought, avoid delivering it twice and restore it later. We do not sell gear, gear boxes or random draws for money.
Your game is saved on your device. The backup on our server and your run records are kept while your account exists. If you have not linked a Google or Apple account, the account is anonymous and its key is stored on your device, so uninstalling the game removes your access to it; a linked account lets you sign in again. You can delete the account and everything linked to it at any time (see below). Analytics data is kept by Google for up to 14 months.
To delete your account, open Settings in the game and choose Delete my data. This permanently removes your account (including any linked Google or Apple sign-in), backed-up save, run records and purchase records from our servers and resets the game on your device; purchases themselves stay with your App Store or Google Play account and can be restored. You can also ask us to give you a copy of, correct or delete the information linked to your account: send a request to the address below and include the account code shown in Settings → Account, or the email of the Google or Apple account you linked, so we can find your account. You can request deletion without the app on our support page. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA, including the right to object to processing and to complain to your local data protection authority.
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Our backend is hosted by Supabase in the United States (us-east-1). Google (advertising and analytics) and the app stores process information in the countries where they operate.
If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the game.
