What changed in each version of Amberborn, newest first, plus short guides.
Version 1.0.0
The first release
Four heroes to play: Vigil, Ash, Fenn and Seris, each with their own skills, story and reason to go down into the Abyss.
Four regions and 24 hand-made dungeons, each ending in a boss: the Abyssal Ruins, the Fungal Caves, the Lava Mines and the Frost Spire. Clear them, then climb to Nightmare and Abyss and push into the endless Abyss Rift.
Your core awakens: Amber Awakening and a fourth skill at level 10, and from level 50 you can be reborn in amber on one of two paths for your hero, up to level 99.
Loot that changes your build: legendary aspects that change how a skill works, and runes from Nightmare and Abyss to socket into runewords.
Plays fully offline. Your progress is backed up when you are online, and you can link a Google account (Android) or Sign in with Apple (iOS) to carry it to a new phone.
Guide
The four heroes and their rebirth paths
Vigil, tank: a living suit of armour with shield and mace, searching for its master's name and last order. Reborn as the Guardian (amber plates, taunts and blocks) or the Executioner (wide cleaves, less health).
Ash, fast blade: a half-demon boy looking for the sister the Abyss swallowed with him. Reborn as the Spellblade (the sword carries spells) or the Demonform (turns into a demon for a while).
Fenn, archer: a wolf hunter whose pack went into the Abyss and never came back. Reborn as the Marksman (piercing arrows and critical hits) or the Trapper (traps and a wolf spirit).
Seris, mage: changed by the crystals, hunting for her vanished teacher Malgar. Reborn as the Crystalmancer (piercing crystals and ice) or the Hexer (damage over time and weakness).
